Age Ratings

These look very nice.
I'd make them individual for easy access, but I'm to lazy to do it right now.
either way nicely done mate :D

Those are good, but kinda confusing...

I saw the "A" one and my first though was a game rated "A" for Adult only.
And the age thing is also a little confusing...

but the look good though!

A = U
G = PG

It's basically in the BBFC rating, with different letters in areas. The reason would easily be explained by the fact Wyatt is british.

Anyways, pretty cool stuff and seems like good use for a faux case or even in an advertisement.
Great stuff

/\ Indeed. I didn't use U, PG, 12A, etc because that would get confused with official ratings - which these are not.

A = U = Universal, any age group
G = PG = Parental Guidance

In the Uk we have:

U
PG
12 (for DVD's)
12a (for cinema releases) [ 12a means you must be with an 18+ person if you are under 12 ]
15
18

I believe in America it is all letters or something... like PG-13, M, A, etc. I dunno.

These are really good, and Cruelty is right about the ratings. But perhaps a note about what the rating stands for would clear it up. In any case, the content description should explain it all. Nicely done.

I was close to writing 'It's so typical to rate strong violence suitable for 15-agers and sexual stuff for 18-agers', until I saw you're English, not American... they infected you with a prushish mentality! :p (and yeah, I do think you miss the 35 rating in there!)

Anyway, I think it's a good idea to rate selfmade games for the public audience in order to prepare them for the contents so noone loses their mental virginity before they recieve their pension payment for example. I think your badges do quite a good job, especially because of the explanations... I'd prefer a no-age-containing version, though, so you'd get something like the Austrian method of signing media stuff with: They have several badges like 'Drug Stuff', 'Sexual Content', 'Violence', 'Language', ..., and depending on the game, the needed things get attached along with a mark on the age suggestion for the game. Think about it, it'll only be a matter of minutes to pull this off either way :p

talking about choices like this? then yeah, i've always liked that.

however Wyatt's rating is nice. *thumbs up, yo*

i've never like the ESRB... >.<

Game ratings. I remember when these things didnt exist. I also remember when they suddenly came on scene. .. .. thank you mortal kombat and duke nuke'em.

How's this?

Just copy'n'paste the crosses or delete them where necessary.

Note: To avoid confusion I changed it to the standard BFCC ratings:

U: Universal: Suitable for all
PG: Parental Guidance Recommended
12: Recommended age 12*
15: Recommended age 15*
18: Recommended age 18*

*These ratings are meant as recommendations, they aren't official like BFCC or whatnot.

Interesting modification of your work, I like the fact that you made it so that anyone can can pick and choose what the rating means and prohibits. Great job and good work.
