I bought an ipod nano yesterday

and now ive realised that i need to lower the bit reate of mp3 collection (320 to 128) will it make a big diffrence sound quality or does anyone dose have simple solution as i have 36gb of music

The difference in sound quality is really only apparent if you have really high quality speakers or headphones.  On a pair of cheap 10$ buds, you won't notice the difference.

Sorry, man, for some reason I thought you were asking for software.

128 KB/s is fine. Most people won't notice a big difference between 320 and 128. I sure as hell don't.

im suposed to have 2000 song on my 8gb ipod but only 800 fits beacuse of the bit rate

then you should of bought yourself a 80GB ipod video., anyways you should only be able to fit around 1600 songs with 8GB

Megaflares got a point man, if you aint going to compromise on price then you’re going to have to on the amount of songs on your pod/thier quality.

How's about we stick to the topic a bit?  Kip try that software Cruelty linked to downsize some of your music to fit the lovely stuff on your iPod.  Elsewise just deal with not having all of it on there. 

(honestly, why do you need that much music anyways?  You probably only really want to listen to like 10% of it, and as that changes you just change the music in and out)

I have 3k songs on my iPod and they've ALL been listened to at least once.  UMMMHMMM.
