Advice on improving my title screen? (XP)

I was hoping people could give me some advice on the look of my title screen.

I was thinking about having it so the actors in the bottom corner change depending on the player's progress through the game but now I'm thinking that a simpler apparoach might be better.
Any ideas?

(Apologies if this is in the wrong section)

It looks pretty sweet how it looks now, though I'm not a big fan of the font. Did you pick it for a special reason? Because if you chose it for the looks I'd change it.

As for the moving characters, I wouldn't do it, keep it simple ^^

I wanted a font that had sort of a tribal-handwriting feel but wasn't too obnoxious. I went through all the fonts I had and that was pretty much the closest I could get.

As for the moving characters, the only thing that actually moves is the fire and its just a typical animation. What I meant by the characters changing was that the number of characters would increase as more joined the party. At the beginning there would just be the main hero and eventually all party members would be there.

Sorry but I have to ask, how'd you individually move the 'New Game, Continue' text? I know how to move the box around, but not the words themselves. Is that a script itself?

As for improving it, I think it looks fine as is, though the font is a bit ugly when placed in front of the RTP graphics. It just looks kind of odd, as they're two very different styles. Though I think you should follow through with your idea of changing the characters the further the player is, that sounds really cool.

In my opinion you can improve it by matching the graphical quality to the in-game graphics quality. :P
Erm can you elaborate?

It's a script by Stripe103, then Night Runner on RRR edited it for me so it would change based on a variable

Is this font any better? Or just eye-hurty?

Too me the main title is a bit too big. And also, I don't like the new font either. Go for a font that's easy to read, yet not overbearingly normal. Like right now, does the font fit the style of the game to you?

I chose the original font which is called Viner Hand ITC because it looked liked handwriting at the same time as looking a little bit tribal (I thought anyway). And my game is medieval mostly but has undertones of shamanism.
The pixel font my Digital Media lecturer suggested

Anyway, made the title smaller and changed the font to a obviously handwriting style one.

Looks way better. But, in the left and right top corners, it seems to be somewhat empty.

It does look better. I disagree, however, about the corners looking empty. A title screen doesn't need to be filled in. I think it looks good like that. Would definitely be something I'd be willing to try out. And I like the idea of party members joining the hero at the campfire as the player progresses through the game. That would be pretty cool.

That idea was kinda borrowed from Dragon Age

Thanks for the feedback guys
I think I'm going to go with the simpler look for now. Thanks everyone for the advice!

You might wanna get rid of the red tint in RMXP, and just apply it around the campfire in photoshop.

And then apply some shadow around the rest of the map. You shouldn't even be able to see the right corner.
