Tim Schaefer, the funniest damn game developer ever (period), has released some extensive design docs from Grim Fandango. Much better than the disappointing Bioshock artbook .PDF.

I concur. GF is actually one of the very few adv games I never got to play, and I could boot myself in the ass over it!

This re-interest I've seen in adv games lately is totally awesome. It's still my favorite genre :')

I was luckily into adventure games back in the day. I got some RARE ass ones too, like the Neverhood, Are you Afraid of the Dark: Orpheo's Curse and Wonderland for the Amiga.

I'd also like to state, as someone who bought and played every single Resident Evil game at night since I was a kid, and Doom 1&2, and Fatal Frame, etc; NO GAME has scared the shit out of me more than that fucking Are You Afraid of the Dark game! I still have nightmares about wax mummies coming after me, and cursing the shitty movement system under my breath.

Great game, although day of the tentacle and full throttle were just as good.
