Adventure Game Fans Unite!

Does Shenmue count? I guess not, I suppose that's "new adventure". But yeah, back in the day I was a pretty big fan of the old mystery adventure schtick. Mostly because they were the only things my crappy computer could run. I wish some of these would appear in the 'classic arcade' market the next gen consoles have. Shouldnt be too much for the wiimote to handle, and it'd actually be worth the full 5 dollars.
My friend and I were obsessed with Phantasmagoria when we were 12 or so. I loved the LucasArts titles, as well. Hotel Dusk just came out for the DS this week too; I'm going to pick that up to occupy most of my day-long ride to Indianapolis in a few weeks. But, I swore not to pick it up until I'd finished the new Phoenix Wright game, lest I give into temptation and have nothing left to play on the trip. I'm on the last case now.
I think the first adventure game I ever played was "Day of the Tentacle" - I still remember what you had to do to that poor hamster to this day. :D
"Sam & Max Hit the Road" was probably my all time favorite. Twisted, goofy, and a frickin riot. I'm glad that there are new Sam and Max adventures to play (am waiting for the complete set to come out and then get them all at once)
"Full Throttle" and "Grim Fandango" were also very good, as were King's Quest and Roger Wilco Space Quest series, of which I've played a several of the games and have enjoyed them greatly. Never did finish the Indianna Jones one, though for the life of me I can't remember why.
Recently I played an online one that was very good: "Nick Bounty: The Goat in the Grey Fedora". Graphics are a little odd, but it's got the same feel as the old Lucasarts games and has some very funny bits in there. here's the link if you want to play for free.

And yeah; I love Day of the Tentacle. In the original version of Maniac Mansion, you could microwave a hamster and actually have it explode. They ended up taking that scene out in later versions because it was too offensive. Or it might have been a poodle... I forget.

I only got a chance to play the demo of the Dig, but what I played I liked. Somehow, I never got that one though.
Don't remember what you did with the Hamster in "Maniac Mansion" (there was a playable copy hidden in "Day of the Tentacle" which I remember thinking was amazingly cool) but the hamster in DotT got cryogenicly frozen, microwaved, stuffed in a shrunken sweater, then made to run in a hamsterwheel powered generator. I don't know why but I loved how that puzzle played out.

Funny aside:
There is a chainsaw in Maniac Mansion that would be useful, but never has any fuel.
In Zak McCracken and the Alien Mindbenders, there is a can of chainsaw fuel, but there isn't a chainsaw.
One of my favorite Easter Eggs in any adventure games.
haha I havnt heard of a LOT of the games posted here but one relaly awesome adventure game for the snes was "the twisted tale of spike MCfang". It was really fun, the only anoyying thing was he damn bosses always lvl when u get them almost killd so they get all their hp back and its like kiling them twice ><

3DO:
Kingdom, Space Ace, and Dragon's Lair. That's all I can say; there weren't many games for the 3DO.
