Advance Messaging Problem...

Guyz i have these problem...when i load a save file it says. "Advance Messaging Script line 1041=EOFError Occured

End of File Reached..."

Why is that?O_o

NEED HELP BADLY
(note: i created the my own characters...but there's simply no connection of my edited characters to the problem im having...)
 
You cannot save a game, add a ascript that adds to the save data, and expect to be able to load that game. RMXP will try to lead the data, but the end of the file has already been reached. Just start a new save file.
 
If you have so called 'custom save script', you should place your message script under that(If your message script has Scene_Save and Scene_Load, and aliases write_save_data and read_save_data). And start new game, save, then load to see that error occurs again.
 
it still has an error...why the hell does that happen anyway?
everything in the script seems to be fine...i think the line 1041 was $ams Load file=marshal.dump (whatever that is) maybe it's the reason that i can't load the file? T_T
 
Its better if you state all scripts your using in your project.. Maybe that way..
Scripters here could easily locate what is causing that error.. There are instances that the error doesnt really belong to the AMS but rather is caused by other conflicting script.. Thats why its better if you post all scripts that your using..
 
OK so here's the scripts...

HP SP bars-Script (Actor/Enemy HP Bars Display)
Chrono Trigger CMS Script (Chrono trigger Menu Display)
Battle Report Script
Dynamic Shadows (Rataime's Multi-demo)
Sun Effect (Rataime's Multi-demo)
View Range Script
Anti Lag Script (Rataime's Multi-demo)
Debug (Rataime's Multi-demo)

That's All...

but when i input the AMS Script it errors when loading a save file in the game...
i tried removing Almost all of my script (listed above) but it still exist...
then i just got tired i reported the problem here...after that when i tried to put back the scripts i removed it releases more errors from different script
it ruined the game i was making... T_T

This Also happens with UMS
 
what.. still no help.. well maybe by uploading your game or demo.. so that members here can Take a closer look at the error.. or maybe some scripters here could properly arrange it for you..

.. Try to upload your Demo of your game bro..

and BTW.. I really cant understand your situation but if this is what your trying to do:

1. Playtest the Game then saved the game.
2. Edit or modify the game. ( ie. adding scripts )
3. Playtest the game again and Loading the previously saved file.

.. If the above situation is what your trying to do.. then I think it will not work/ load properly.. mostly it will cause error..

note: If you EDIT the game.. you cant LOAD previously saved game. unless you have a SCRIPT that enables you to do so.. you must ALWAYS start a new game after editing the game..

Curious: do you know of such a script? or would you have to use like a scene_load_2 using the older scene_load to read the save file then save again using the new scene_save?
 
I think theres a script bro.. I just dont know where..

Games like master of the wind use that kind of script..
try asking the maker of that game if they could post a link or the script..
