Adding extra stats to your party/enemies

Ok this would be nice, we all know about the default stats.

HP
SP"MP"
EXP
attack
defence
agility
mind

But what about Battle Power"BP" or a Power Level"PL" stat?
That stat would determain how strong your attack and defence stats are, anybody know how to do this?

So with the last sentence, you're implying that "Strength" doesn't affect attack...?
Anyways. I've seen several solutions for this. What are you after, more specifically? Would you like to replace the functionality of an old stat, create a constant value factored into individual character's stats, or define a formula based on level or other statistics which would determine this one?
