For one of my games, I want an action battle system, with a simple HUD and functions. I would like a HP bar, and another bar that fills for a certain purpose (though I could probably do that with TP).
The main part I want is how the hotbars work. One icon should indicate the weapon the protagonist is equipped with and the other icon should indicate the tool the protagonist can use.
The weapon is simple as it should be configured in several battle systems already created.
The tool might be more tricky.
One tool, a story item, when pressed should open up a quick menu (perhaps similar to a ring menu like this: http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/841-syvkals-ring-menu-vxace/). Instead of menu commands, it should simply be the skills menu. Selecting a skill will use it.
Another tool would be a healing item. This might already be configured, though. I would also like key items to be used as tools as well, for puzzles and such.
