when you have a spell cast on you it bounces of you and hits the target who casts.


for example

Player1 attacks devil and misses
Devil casts DOOM on player1
Player1 dies


NEW BATTLE
Player1 casts reflect on himself
Devil casts doom on player1
DOOM reflects
Devil is affected by doom
Devil dies
