A samll problem im having

Okay, I am trying to have a little spot in the beginning of my game, where it opens the menu and shows you certain things.

I figured the easiest way to do with would be to record a video and play it back with the video script.

Well when i record a video, even in full screen, it only recors the small window. Ive tried about 10 different programs.

Is there any way to fix this? A

lso, is there just an all around easier way of doing this?

Like is there a way to make it to the program thinks the player is pressing buttons, so it could self open menu, self go through different menus?

If the menu isn't full of animation that's necessary to how it operates, you might be better off using a series of screenshots and stringing them together with an event. Then you can interrupt them with informative dialog boxes as well.

As for the small video, it could be because the native resolution is 640x480, even in full screen mode. In theory, though, when you play that back within your RMXP project, it should take up the whole window. Maybe not though, I've never tried it.

Seriously, do what Deltree said.

I doubt what you are saying is possible to do unless you use a script or a custom event based CMS or something...

The best option would be to take screenshots, open them in paint, draw small arrows, and make text boxes.

Technically, it can but you need some codes to activate the auto selecting.

You basically need the CALL MENU SCREEN event command to call the Menu via an event, may it be Parallel or Autorun.

As for the self-navigating the menu.... i guess Deltree is right. :D
