A question about maps :p

I don't have much free time lately, so I must apologise if what I'm about to ask looks stupid :P
In RPG Maker 2k we could make world maps (those like final fantasy when we get out of a town or city and have the world map where we can travel and all that stuff :p ) is there a way to do that in RPG Maker XP? I thought about it a bit and I think it can be done with the right tileset anyone knows tilesets that can do that?
Sorry for the noob question, but I just recently got back to RPG Maker XP and I was wondering about this. ???

Yes, there is a way to do that with RMXP.  Just make a map and name it "World Map". Unforunately, you have to supply your own world map tileset.  You can find Inq's worldmap on RPGpalace I think, and a japanese site called HungryMouse has one, as does Mack from Looseleaf.

Yeah, as Bael said. You've make a worldmap the same way as any other map, just make "Teleport Player" points on your normal maps, that would transfer the characters to the world map, and vice versa.

its from amaranth games. Amanda (known as lambchop here) used it for Aveyond 2.
there credits are right on the bottom of the tileset.

Did you look in the download manager? Last I checked (before the site move..) there was a custom script or something along the lines of what you are looking for. I'll see it I can find it.

yeah but your guy will look big ont he map... all you have to do is use MS Paint or Ifran View to make the tilestes/charas sets smaller
