A photoshop question!

okie dokie... in photobucket how do i make the font in the pick so that when im typeing it it looks like part of the pick? like... when im done typeing and done with the pic how do i make it look like its part of the pic? like its branded in there er something?... you know when you look at a pic and the words are the same colour as the backround but it looks like the letters are pushing themselves up? like a canvas was over them er sumthin?... i know i must be a bit confusing but please try to understand and give an answer...

edit: er... make it 3D is what i'm askin i think...

I've fixed the title of the thread so that it makes some sense now. Also, what you're asking is how to emboss text. What you do is type whatever you're going to type, or draw a picture or something, it doesn't matter. You can emboss/bevel anything. At the bottom of the menu box that has your layers in it, there are a series of little icons. Click the one that looks like a circle with a fancy looking "f" in it, and then click "Bevel/Emboss" from the resulting menu. You'll get a dialogue box with all sorts of options in it; experement with this until you find what you like.
Be forwarned, though; beveling and embossing random stuff is considered almost as tacky as putting lens flares everywhere, so use it sparingly.

yeah, in the layers window, in the bottom there is a circle with a "f" on it.
click that and mess with the beveling and the shadows and the glows and that works.

to make it look like a part of a picture, you can alwalys change the opacity down a little bit, so that you can failtly see the picture through it.
