a couple 'freehand' digital paintings

well,, by freehand, i mean i just used brushes (no pen tool) to make these.. which makes it look much cooler.

this first one is simple.. its an octopus on a rock. :l

this one is less sipmle, and way more hectic. its mario and a super shroom

of course i used some hue/saturation filters, and some duplication on this one, but the point is that the mario and the mushroom were freehand.


these were my absolute first attempts at freehand brushing in photoshop.

That octopus is adorable :>

And for some reason I find Mario's tounge amazing. I could really see that with just the tounge animated, wiggling around and the background changing colours. It'd be amazing :O

I really like the texture of these things, and the sort of amorphous cartoony style you use. The octopus' expression is grand; it's like "oh, damn, what now?" Very cute. XD
