A bit of CnC?

This is probably my second attempt at spriting with out the aid of other pieces made for a template.
I decided to use the beautiful Tyke2 template for a holiday project to keep me sane while I am home alone but I was wondering if anyone could give me tips on what I have so far:

Don't forget to shade under the hair.
I'd make the colors more vivid, make it pop out.

But I should ask, what you're planning on using for tilesets?

As for tileset wise I was going to use just RTP or if I feel adventours I will do custom

contrast is the difference between colors on your pallette. what he's saying is that the colors on your palette are too similar to one another.

This sprite is also too small and not nearly the style you need for the RTP tilesets.
since your sprite is rather small and doesn't have much detail, i would suggest custom.

Also ... The shirt look more like an apron to me, make it form more around the body (not tightly unless thats what you are going for.) it will add the illusion of depth for the character but make sure you shade it correctly after the change.  :thumb: **Sleeves on the end could use work also but really nice start!

Still more contrast - it's really dark all around, which makes it hard to make out details.

Also, contrast is the difference between black/white (darks and lights) in colors, hue is the difference between colors.
