Awesome Bro

JUSTIN.TV is a network of diverse channels providing a platform for lifecasting and live video streaming of events online.

Topic that was posted along with a suicide note. Nobody took him seriously and they sat and watched him die. Kind of fucked up, really. People from the forum started to get a little concerned when his channel was 5-6 hours in and he hadn't moved at all. They also noticed light changes so they were confident it wasn't a still photo.

A local viewer contacted the police and they burst through his door to find he was dead. The topic from start to finish is in the below link. The live feed videos have been removed from Justin.tv, although the policeman discovering his body has been leaked on Youtube already.

Justin.tv, founded in San Francisco by Justin Kan, is a network of diverse channels providing a platform for lifecasting and live video streaming of events online. The original Justin.tv was a single channel that evolved into the Justin.tv network of thousands of diverse channels. Paul Graham, of the seed capital firm Y Combinator, initially funded US$50,000 to Justin.tv.[1]

Justin.tv has been compared to EDtv, Being John Malkovich, and The Truman Show.[2] Wearing a webcam attached to a cap, Kan decided he would wear the camera 24/7, and he began streaming continuous live video and audio at midnight March 19, 2007.[3] The novelty of the concept attracted media attention, and the resulting interviews included Ann Curry on the Today Show (April 2, 2007), Tom Merritt on the first episode of CNET Live, Nightline (April 6, 2007) and World News Tonight (April 8, 2007).

I don't understand why anyone would do this.

Shit like this makes me hate people even more.
Or at least people who use the internet.

Then what is the magical place that you are using right now?

Somewhat off topic: $t3v0 - Link doesn't work anymore.

Topic that was posted along with a suicide note. Nobody took him seriously and they sat and watched him die. Kind of fucked up, really.
I heard through reports that it was because he talked about suicide on the forums before and didn't really go through with them, which made the other posters not take him seriously (as well as some folks telling him to go "do it faggot") when he was posting the suicide note and was doing this. Kind of like "crying wolf", but in his case, "crying suicide".

Also, I think that comitting suicide was a selfish decision. Why? Not only does it hurt the person who commits the suicide (no duh), it hurts the friends, e-friends and family around the person committing suicide.

Also, best post ever.

Pretty much what Punk said, although it shows how fucking disgusting some people can be. I mean, Im a dick but im not going to egg someone on to commit suicide publicly.

Also I love how in that thread people are being fucking faggots. HE WASNT A DRUG USER he was a depressed kid trying to get away for the mistakes he made. It was apparent in his suicide note.
