Set on Halloween night in 1989, a vengeful Scarecrow returns to haunt the village of Corn Spring, from which most of the residents fled the previous year, leaving just farmer Randy and Father James. As the Scarecrow returns, Randy's buried mental trauma resurfaces, threatening his sanity.
