Guys New Update, The game has been great and Gigiorica is still on track, when it comes to this project, and as i have progressed the game i found out that the Battle system takes alot of the Production system meaning that the game can be expelled to 2011 or 2012 for perfecting the battle system adding each skill, the thing i am afraid of is putting that much work into a failed project, so i want a system for entertainment, but enough of that

Which Battle System should i use.

well the origin of this game is kinda wierd, to almost have lost complete faith in Eternal Freedom, since it went nowhere, i thought that EF, wasn't the game i really had in mind, to much work, to bad planned, and i hope this game doesnt end up as this

This game was made to compete with games that even runs on the GBA or DS, and i really plan on maybe winning POTM, once demo comes, i plan on seriously taking this game to the top, the origin is ofcoursely how i got the idea in my mind, and it was by watching a game called Star Ocean by Square Enix, i wanted to have a sci.fi based game, to save not only one planet but the entire universe, as i thought how i could seriously twist the game to be non-cliche, i thought of that a game which is supposed to be good, has to have some cliche, but i tried to stay away from most of them, and then i started to build the game with RTP, and i wasnt happy yet, i had to take it a step further and then i saw tales of, but using direct rips seemed to be really bad, so i thought i would edit the rips once they were done and some ive done and some i still have a way to go, using graphic gale i managed quite alot

Come on people something has to be said, is it that hard to tell me anything, its kinda not cool, working on a project none wishes to comment on 55 views and 0 comments, well thats something
 
This is looking great Legsicon. im likeing the graphics and the story seems very thought out. (all thoguh breif)

also, your post contains errors, due to copy and pasting from another forum software, i'd recomend u'd fix that asap.

Hey guys, sorry i havent been updating here, ive been mostly at RRR, trying to get attention with this game. As people there now seems to start enjoying the games progress i hope this will also happen here.

News: i released a new Video to show off an early build of the system, i only did this to show you guys that the games battle system isn't going to be some normal things that all RM games use, this game will try to provide awesome abilitys ingame, and the story should be fun to follow. either way here is the video

The thing with the video is that it is an early build so theres alot of bugs in it. Like sprite mistakes, enemie bugs(they don't attack) and ofcourse some minor issues with the system, the thing is that battles are really exiciting and even i the editor is really enjoying it, so hopefully you will to.

Cmon guys not any replies. there must be something you can say....Please anyone replie either way
time to update this thread, no new images or any new video we have mostly some news to tell you or ive been working so i have some news.

Updates:
- Ive been working to progress the game and its been wonderfull
- My eventer seems to be working with this game full time now, so i guess this will also speed up the production

- Our Musician has worked great and produced faboulus results i am really happy with him

- Ive also been tweaking the Battle system so all the shitty buggy stuff can be gone, and well most of it has been fixed, atleast the monsters attack now, and it well got harder to win over them

- Added new skills to the Battle system. Making skills is a though job, not an easy one and adding damage and such is even harder, so its not to strong nor to weak

- Progressed the game inside, i am just building scratches of everything, what i mean is, i am building maps doing events, and tweaking alot, in the end the eventer will polish the events to make them seem more proffesional, so that dialouges arent bad, and well thats it


Upcomming Updates
- Trying to fix the sprite issues as, i havent had luck with it,
- Trying to fix the C2 of the first sword, C2 is Combo2, so that it also deal damage, so that the combo seems more complete
- Trying to keep the thread updated

Please feel free to leave replies or questions, i will answer them as soon as i can, and also try to answer them fully out
 
I must say, this game looks very nice. First time I saw those screenshots I actually thought "In which rm is this actually made?". Those tiles look a bit rm2k, but... It doesn't matter. The story is good (still thinking what the word godest means XD) and Noah is also a good designed character. As for the battle system, quite unique as I only know myself as another person who's using XAS. One other thing about the mapping, how come you paste vegetation in a cave with lava? Isn't that going up in flames?
 
Yes thanks for the feedback and thank you for pointing it out, i feel so freakin stupid, really hated that one. but as for the tileset, yes it was originally for RM2K3 but i managed to convert it to RMXP, even though that mean that the resolution was lost.

Infact i am hoping to make this project really huge, but the only thing is that i dont have alot of time on my hand for now, so cant really work on it and as for the word Godest, yea sorry mistake from me Godess
 
We all make small mistakes. Maybe you could say Godest is a word in that country? Like they have some other words for our words. About that you said that you felt freaking stupid, about what? Last, for that short on time thingy, there are two temporarily possible solutions. You could try to find about 1-2 other people who could help you with some stuff, or maybe you should make a shedule in your head?
 
Thanks for the help Delye, but i actually already have 2 people taking care of other stuff on the game,
an Eventer and a musician(thats why this game has original soundtrack), but now i have some time off so i think i can work on this game, but the reason i wont send it to my eventer just yet, is beacuse i want the message system to be perfect first, everything looks good, but the message system is to bad.

and nice idea, i think il actually use it, cause it would add more type of creativity towards the game thanks alot Delye

-Keep looking on this topic, cause i am going to update within the end of Vacation unless i am Playing Star Ocean 4 on PS3 alot(That game has really gotten me)

Thanks Legacy your support is really needed and don't worry i know i can trust you with some work, but it seems that i right now would rather let you work on Blackfire, but if i need anything its good to know you're there to help man
 
The battle system looks like a really good one, so does the graphics. I'm pretty busy today but i will add a longer comment tomorrow. :)

The battle system looks excellent as i said in my previous post, but the crystals at each side of the map looks strange and annoying.

The character looks a little strange next to the tileset if you see what i mean. Also the lava-river starts in the upper left corner with a straight line which looks bad. Another mapping error i found is the rock above the character. There is no wall behind that stone.
The overall mapping is good, but you should make the character a little... bigger, or fatter, not really but you get my point.
 
Thanks that was alot of awesome feedbacks, that will both help me, i really hope that i get some time to produce what you just said, im still really busy with school so won't get to work on this project right now, looks like il be working on it while its vacation, cause then i can think clear lol hahahaha
 
You thought i had forgotten my own project, didn't you guys, but i haven't. the progress has rather been, yes slow, but not now anymore, i am fresh on working on the project again and all i have to show you is some off the updates i have done.

The Tileset got changed since i wasn't really so big of a fan with the old looking SNES tileset, cause we are in the future i can't make the old types of game, therefor i use a new style of Tileset, which is Macks RMXP RTP, which i can basicly use and as well use RMXP RTP, cause the difference is not so big, this way it will add alot more maps in the game and more beautiful, so you just love the map, this game is about tempting you and i think a tileset change was needed.

New Monsters: Yes i changed from that Ripped stuff, to something abit more RMXP looking, you might think they look overlyshiny, since i have a recipe on making the new type of monsters, they basicly look better than the old ones.

New Battle Maps, well they aren't better, but they are atleast good to play at, and the maps has more life into them, more atmosphere

with the new changes, the games story follows up smooth, using the same old sprites as planned,

HELLOO!!! People this is my happy day, cause i finally have some time off to tell you guys abit, the game has been splendid, i have redone the Intro and i am finally happy with it, the eventer will later on check if something is wrong, the battle system has been tweaked, and i am hoping to actually cut the Battle System out as it is Draining alot of the games Progression time, it really consumes alot of time to use XAS, and to much coding, i mean i wanted a game that was amazing, but this battle system kinda kills it.

Other than that the battles look great and the Sprites are really great, i wanted to tell you that the Story has been twisted as how you start the game, no longer in a cave and finally some events are starting to happen, and well thats all for now actually.

Also a vote up, who wants XAS and who wants me to find a new Battle System?

PM ME with any systems you might have in mind, and which might be easy and yet awesome for me to give people full feeling of an Console style RPG
 
With that it takes a lot of time to code, you mean those tool options? Like weapons and items? There's a simple solution for that:
1. Try to make a list of all weapons, armors, etc. in the game.
2. If any of those has something special, write it down.
3. Collect/make the graphics you need.
4. Send some the needed information and grapics and scripts, while you do the other stuff.
5. When you got everything back in a new project, just copy-paste the needed thingies.

Elseway, use Blizz ABS. It's one of the best ABS, and easy to configure.
